To be in charge, especially as a woman, requires many things. There are many things you must be prepared to take on to make your way to the top. There will be many ups and downs, but at the end of the day, it's YOU who is going to make it happen. Your thought process and level of motivation will depend on if you can do it- not whether you’re financially stable or popular enough to be known and liked. Here's a few things we think are crucial in the mindset to be a successful boss lady:

1. Be a Leader not a follower

It is important that you have your own skills to follow to stay ahead of the game. If you are following someone else and relying on what they do to get you to the top, then eventually you will not be able to do it on your own. You have to figure out what you are good at and what you love. From there you will be able to be your own leader with your own passions that will carry you to where you want to be. Following someone else in their path to success will only keep you behind them.

2. Stay Motivated

Without self motivation you will not have the confidence to drive you to do what you are being called to do. If you want to be in charge and run your own business, you must maintain the mindset that your business will continue to grow and strive because without this optimism it’s impossible. In order to be a passionate leader, you must believe you can do it and with that you will gain confidence in your work.

3. Have Goals

If you don’t have goals then what are you working to achieve?Set the goal that you want to be the boss. Set the goal that you will grow into a successful business next year. You are more likely to be successful and see growth with set goals. Goals provide a sense of direction and path to follow while creating motivation to complete those goals. Keep your goals realistic though because you don’t want to be in a position where you can’t complete that goal. It’s a step-by-step process where you work your way up a little at a time. No matter how many goals you set for yourself it will give you a focus on where you see your self-potential.
